A Shared Security Patrol for Your Neighbourhood
Community Security is Regal's mobile security service for residential neighbourhoods. Instead of each household hiring its own guard, residents in the same area sign up together. Our marked mobile patrol vehicles then visit the enrolled homes on a schedule, or at random times, so nobody can predict when we'll pass.
Most checks happen overnight, when it's dark and fewer people are awake or outside. That's when an unlocked door or an open garage is most likely to be noticed by the wrong person, and when a visible patrol vehicle does the most good.
Regal Security Inc. holds Ontario security agency licence #118836. Community Security is part of Regal Plus, our premium services group.

What a Private Security Patrol Can Do on Your Street
Honest expectations make a better program.
- On private property: under Ontario's Trespass to Property Act, an occupier, or a person the occupier authorizes, can direct a trespasser to leave and, in limited cases, arrest someone who is on the premises in contravention of the Act, then hand them to police.
- On public streets and neighbours' land: our supervisors have no police powers. They observe, deter, document and call police.
- In an emergency: police, fire and ambulance come first. Call 911. Our patrols add eyes on the street; they don't replace emergency services.
Licensed Supervisors, Trained Beyond the Minimum
Community Security patrols are carried out by Regal's mobile security supervisors. They're certified and trained beyond Ontario's minimum licensing requirements, and they also inspect Regal's guarded sites and respond to emergencies, 24/7.
Careful recruitment and guard satisfaction are core to how Regal works. Settled, well-treated staff learn a neighbourhood and notice what's different. They're Everyday Superheroes™: calm, courteous and observant.

Community Security: Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a neighbourhood security patrol cost?
It depends on how many homes join, how often we patrol and what each household wants checked. Because the patrol is shared, each household's cost goes down as more neighbours sign up. Ask us for a plan for your street.
When do the patrols happen?
Typically overnight, on a regular schedule or at random times, which makes patrols harder to predict.
Can a security patrol stop people on my street?
Not on public streets. Private security has no police powers there, so our supervisors observe, document and call police.
Are your patrol supervisors licensed?
Yes. Ontario requires anyone paid to guard or patrol to hold a security guard licence and the company to hold an agency licence. Regal Security Inc. holds agency licence #118836.
Do I need my neighbours to join?
It works best with several households in one area, because that's what makes a shared patrol efficient. Start by telling us your address and we'll come back with a plan.
