Every guard we deploy holds a valid Ontario security guard licence, as provincial law requires, and works under Regal Security Inc.'s agency licence #118836, which you can check in the Ontario public registry.

On-site guarding and access control
A uniformed, visible presence at lobbies, entrances, loading docks and shipping areas, checking who comes in, managing visitor and contractor sign-ins, and controlling keys and fobs.

Licensing. Every guard holds a valid provincial licence and must carry it on duty and show it on request.
Orientation. Beyond the mandatory provincial training, Regal guards complete an orientation on workplace violence, WHMIS, incident reporting, the Trespass to Property Act and customer service, followed by 16 hours of supervised on-the-job field training.
Ongoing courses. First aid, fire safety, use of force, verbal judo (de-escalation), customer service and supervisor training through the Regal Security® Training Academy, a registered training facility.
Inclusion. Regal Security® is certified in We Create Space LGBTQ+ Inclusion training.

How much do security guard services cost in Toronto?

Are your security guards licensed?
Yes. In Ontario, every guard holds an individual security guard licence under the Private Security and Investigative Services Act, and Regal Security Inc. holds agency licence #118836. In BC, Regal Security (B.C.) Inc. is licensed under the Security Services Act. Guards carry their licence on duty and show it on request.

Can I see what my guards are doing?
Yes. Regal uses Kovrra, a security ERP, and every client has a Kovrra portal that shows live guard GPS locations and time-stamped clock-ins and clock-outs for every shift.
What training do Regal security guards have?
Every guard completes the provincial training required for a licence. Regal guards then complete an orientation on workplace violence, WHMIS, incident reporting, the Trespass to Property Act and customer service, followed by 16 hours of supervised on-the-job field training.
How is guard work supervised?

What is the difference between a security guard and a concierge guard?
A security guard focuses on protecting people and property through access control, patrols and response. A concierge guard is a licensed security guard posted at a front desk who also greets residents and visitors and manages deliveries.
Do you provide security guards outside Toronto?
Yes. We serve the GTA from Mississauga and Metro Vancouver from our Langley office.
Why do you say security guard and not the other title?
In Ontario, the Private Security and Investigative Services Act restricts the titles security guards and the companies that sell their services may use. Licensed guards in Ontario are called security guards.
